Global Internship Initiative – Golf & Hospitality Management Program


Program Overview
The Global Internship Initiative, developed by 59club Academy in partnership with Global Talent Solutions, is a prestigious, structured 3-year graduate internship program designed to develop the next generation of leaders in the golf and hospitality industry.

This unique program addresses two major industry challenges by providing ambitious graduates with world-class international experience while supplying elite golf clubs and resorts with high-caliber seasonal talent. Interns will gain hands-on operational experience, professional certifications, leadership development, and a powerful global network — all while working at some of the world’s most renowned golf and hospitality venues.

Program Duration: 3 years (6 placements × 6 months each)
Start Date: Flexible


Key Features of the Program

  • Rotational International Placements: Work 6 months at your Home Club during high season and rotate to prestigious partner clubs abroad during low season.
  • World-Class Venues: Opportunities at renowned properties such as those affiliated with 59club’s global network (including venues like Al Zorah, Camiral, Celtic Manor, Costa Navarino, Jumeirah Golf Estates, and many others).

    Structured Development:
  • 59club Service Excellence Training (4 in-person sessions per year)
  • 59Club Certifications (Various departments - Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Bespoke leadership coaching through Robincroft (group sessions + one-to-one mentoring)
  • On-the-job mentorship from senior club managers

Responsibilities

As a Global Intern, you will gain broad exposure across your speciality department and multiple areas. You will take on increasing levels of responsibility, contribute to real business outcomes, and participate in leadership projects throughout the program.

Each club will have their own select list of responsibilities which can be explained in more detail during the screening call.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA or equivalent) ideally in Golf Management, Sports Management, Hospitality, Turf Management or extensive background experience
  • Strong passion for golf, sports and/or luxury hospitality
  • High emotional intelligence and natural leadership potential
  • Willingness to relocate internationally and work seasonal hours
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Right to work or ability to secure relevant work visas (support provided)
